Who is Chihiro?

 

Chihiro Koga is a Tokyo based documentary photographer in Japan.

 

Koga was born in Japan in 1976. She moved to the United States in 1999 to study photography. After she graduated from California State University, Eastbay, she had worked in several News Agencies as a photojournalist in California. She moved back to Japan in 2004 and started CHIHIRO PHOTO.  She has traveled to many different countries to document the daily life of ordinaly people in Iraq, Palestine, Cuba and Iran. Her work has been published in magazines in Japan including National Geographic Japan, Marie Claire Japan and Asahi weekly etc.  Her documentary work can be viewd at http://www.chihirokoga.com/

She started shooting weddings in 2004.
